Camping
Ran into a friend from Singapore, Ben who joined us for dinner.
The half mile hike in was worth the sweet remote location we got.
Ty made a squirrel trap and watched it devoutly for at least 10 minutes.Beautiful mountains. The leaves are already changing!

One of my goals for 2012 is to run a marathon. It's August and I'm trying to train for a half marathon in November. I'm counting it towards my goal. I've never been a long distance runner but I think this race while out of my comfort zone is one I can do.
I don't know who to credit, but I got this from James' Facebook post. I thought it fitting since James is the one who got me to sign on to the race and I've got to remember it everytime I start to hang.

CO2 scare
This is what I'm looking at at 6am on my Saturday to sleep in.
We should have checked the batteries on the CO2 detectors before moving in.
At least we got good picks for donuts!

Happy Birthday Rhett
We love our Rhett. Still throwing up the typical Asian peace sign, we've only been back for a week but wanted to celebrate this sweet kid's 4th birthday (loving the mountains!).
There was a pasta bar (his favorite!) and then a true American experience: the ice cream truck.
The super talented Auntie Annie made his birthday cake and even made matching sweet faux spaghetti and meatball cupcakes to go with the pasta theme. Awesome and delicious!
