Ty's Baptism
What a special day! We love our Ty and his choice to be baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints.

Program
I wanted to do something different than the normal program and took an online watercolor course a few months earlier. I'm so pleased with how my baptism watercolor turned out and used it for Ty's program.
After he was baptized, he came out of the water and did a little shudder. It was so cute. I guess being one of the later baptisms of the day, the water was freezing. That night after everything was done and we were doing our scriptures and prayers, Ty revealed that he didn't get a warm feeling after he was baptized. Steve told him it was okay and that one of the prophets didn't either. Ty prayed to be able to get a warm feeling and know that the Church was true and that the choice he made was the right one. The next day during Sacrament, Ty leaned over to me and asked if we could feel the Holy Ghost during the Sacrament. I told him that he could feel it anytime. He put his hand over his heart and said, "I have a warm feeling now, Mom." Love this kid so much! :)
The after-party was awesome. Ty's favorite thing to eat is peanut butter sandwiches. He would literally eat it for every single meal if we let him. So we pumped up the volume and did it gourmet style for his baptism party.
There were fun flavors of bread : beehive white, honey whole, cinnamon burst and raisin cinnamon. (Great Harvest bread is the best!)
We got some cool flavored jams : lemon curd, cinnamon peach, mountain berry, huckleberry, apple butter, rhubarb vanilla, whipped honey, raz pepper, guava, and peach raspberry.
My mom and I stayed up late the night before and came up with some awesome flavors of peanut butter : milk chocolate coconut, salted caramel, white chocolate pretzel, and dark chocolate lavender. I'm glad my trusty food processor could handle making that much peanut butter! Then we also had Nutella, Adams Natural Crunchy PB, Maple Almond Butter, and Chocolate Hazelnut.
One of my favorite parts was the Panini press. I'm not sure if many people did it, but I loved my dark chocolate lavender, whipped honey creation panini-ed to toasty perfection!
For the fruit and veg, I did things that could be dipped with peanut butter : red and green apples, bananas, pears and celery
And a cheese platter to go with the jams : raspberry bellavitano, extra aged gouda, coastal with lime and chilli, jarlsberg, dubliner, cave aged cheddar, babybel, shallot and chive gournay and a garlic herb gournay. There were dates, figs, almonds, and all sorts of crackers.
We love you so much Ty!

My talented friend, Natalie did all of the cupcakes and toppers! They turned out so darling. I loved them. I got the baptism subway art here - $5 is a steal if you ask me and saved me time from doing my own. Printed at Costco and mounted myself made for awesome décor.
I hope Ty felt so loved and special. There were so many people that travelled near and far to support him on this special day. My mom and dad help out so much! They arrived a few days early and basically cleaned my entire house and helped with much needed chores. The Dipko's and Navalta's came and prepped everything for the party after the baptism so that I could stay and get a few pictures. I'm so grateful for everyone who came and helped celebrate Ty's special day! Love you guys!
We love you so much Ty!

Camping
Ran into a friend from Singapore, Ben who joined us for dinner.
The half mile hike in was worth the sweet remote location we got.
Ty made a squirrel trap and watched it devoutly for at least 10 minutes.Beautiful mountains. The leaves are already changing!
